What courses and services does Wright Food Training offer?

We have a variety of courses available. In person, on-line, customized for your company or at your location. Online courses in English and Spanish. the most commonly purchased course is the one Day in-person course with exam. This print exam can be requested and taken in several languages.

 

Do I need to purchase the book to take the group course and exam?

No. The book is not a required item. Some people do like to have it for later reference. If you chose to purchase the “with book” option, you will receive your book the day of class.

What is the difference between ServSafe Manager and ServSafe Food handler?

The ServSafe Manager Certification is designed for individuals responsible for managing food safety in restaurants, schools, hospitals, or other food service operations. This certification verifies that a manager or person-in-charge has sufficient food safety knowledge to ensure the safety of the establishment’s customers.

The ServSafe Food Handler Certification is specifically designed for individuals in food handler employee-level positions, such as waitstaff, cooks, and dishwashers. This certification verifies basic food safety knowledge and ensures that individuals understand how to handle food safely and prevent foodborne illnesses.

 

Do I have to pay for my course and exam when I register?

Yes. Unfortunately your seat in the class is not guaranteed nor confirmed until both the registration and payment have been received.  Once they have both been received, you will  get an email confirmation along with all of the necessary attachments for your course including a study guide, practice exam, and other pertinent documents.

 

What happens if I don’t pass the exam?

You may take the exam again within 30 days (you must pay an exam only fee) and do not need to take the course again. If you do not pass the second attempt you must wait 60 days to try again. Only 4 attempts are allowed within a 12 month period.

Can you come to my Company location and train my employees?

Yes of course, we do that often! If you have 10 or more persons to be trained  and an appropriate training and testing area at your  location,  then we are happy to make those accommodations.
*A little further out? Many miles or States away? just send an email using the contact form and your request. No worries!! we will find a way to accommodate you. Promise! Lets talk about it.

 

What are your terms and refund policy?

No refunds are given at any time or for any reason.  Please chose your course date and time carefully and be sure to put it on your calendar. You will receive a reminder email 3 days prior to your course or exam.

We do have options such as a  reschedule fee. if you find it unavoidable and must reschedule your course and/or exam date.

 

How long is my ServSafe certification good for?

Your ServSafe Manager Certification received through Wright Food Training is good for 5 years and in all 50 States. Each State also has their own  additional individual requirements for  State CFPM Certification.

In Minnesota you will be required to send a copy of your ServSafe certification received from Wright Food Training along with $35 to the MN department of Health. you will then receive State certification good for 3 years.

 

Is the exam really that hard? Will I actually have to study?

Yes. You will need to study!. If you carefully study and review the information sent to you such as the study guide and diagnostic/practice exam and pay close attention in  your 1 day class, most students do just fine. It is however,  a large amount of material that is covered in one day. Get good sleep and we’ll see you in class! YOU can do this!

 

I want to actually register for a course and pay right now. How do I do that?

1) Navigate your way to the enrollment and registration page and fill out the registration form. 

2) Click “submit” and you will be directed to the products page to make selections to add to your cart and pay. 

3) Then just watch your email for your  course confirmation letter and all  materials. Easy peasy!
